NORT beers are classified as non-alcoholic, containing less than 0.5% ABV. This tiny amount occurs naturally during fermentation and is about the same as what you’ll find in some fruit juices or ripe bananas. So while NORT isn’t completely alcohol-free, it’s considered non-alcoholic and safe for those avoiding standard beer.

How is NORT Non-Alc brewed?

While most non-alcoholic beers remove alcohol and try to add flavour back in, Modus Brewing takes a different approach. It’s brewed just like a regular craft beer, with a unique fermentation process that naturally removes the alcohol - leaving you with under 0.5% ABV and all the taste, aroma and body of the real thing. 

Are NORT Beers vegan or gluten-free? 

NORT beers are not completely gluten-free, as they contain a small amount of gluten. However, they are 100% vegan-friendly, brewed without any animal products or additives. So while those with gluten sensitivities should take care, vegans can enjoy NORT with confidence.

How many calories are in NORT Zero Alcohol Beers? 

Every beer brewed by Modus Brewing is below 60 calories which makes NORTs range the lowest calorie Australian made beer in the country.

NORT was created by Jaz Wearin, co-founder of Modus Brewing, after she found herself wanting a great tasting beer without the hangover. During pregnancy, the chaos of 2020 and the demands of balancing a business and family, refusing to settle for anything second-rate, Jaz set out to brew a non-alcoholic beer with the same aroma, body and bitterness as the real thing.

Can I drink NORT Non-Alcoholic Beers if I'm pregnant or breastfeeding?

While 0.5% ABV is considered “alcohol-free” in Australia, it’s best to consult with your healthcare provider before consuming any product containing even a small trace of alcohol.
