I've struggled to find a non-alcoholic experience for quite a while now, but this one is by far my favourite. It certainly is 'easy-drinking', with a complex flavour that I enjoy. I'm re-ordering now.
This is an unusual non-alcoholic Chardonnay. It is quite sweet and simple. There are strong passionfruit notes that almost hide the grape notes. Not really acidic at all and very little in the way of tannins. It's flavour is more like a nice enough juice but not particularly complex. It makes for easy drinking. If I had read the label I probably wouldn't have purchased it (only 51% de-alcoholised Chardonnay and a whopping 48% grape juice). This will probably be enjoyed by people who have not tasted real wine before and don't understand the flavours of a more authentic non-alcoholic Chardonnay. I would recommend it more as a fancy juice but I don't know if the price is justified. I was going to try their non "Prestige" Chardonnay, but I'm not sure anymore; my local supermarket sells a nonalcoholic chardonnay that only has slight sweetness (6% grape juice) and lets you taste the acidity, tannins, grape and pear and apple notes and only costs about $4-6.
