Banks & Burbidge Non-Alcoholic Gin 700mLBABNG7501
Product of Australia
Really loved this gin. Was lovely to have a gin and tonic without the alcohol!!! Would definitely recommend
Not bad. Very light on the nose and light straight up. Would be very happy as a G+T substitute though.
not much in the way of flavour - it's great to have nonalcoholic alternatives but the flavour is disappointing
I’m a big promoter of Seedlip as an NA gin solution because it has a distinct flavour that can punch through your tonic mixer, as well as a strong botanical aroma. Banks and Burbidge is a closer to home option from QLD, and it has the right idea. The botanical selection is rich and includes some interesting Aussie botanicals in the ingredients list, but the aroma is practically non existent, and the flavour is not altogether forward when mixed down with a tonic and lemon. I definitely didn’t hate it and for the price it’s ****** compared to other options on the market, but its a 3/5 for me at the moment. Would love to see where a local Aussie business can take this NA gin alt over the next few years.
I bought this, like the other reviewer, because it’s Australian. I wanted to support them! I bought half a dozen bottles. I applaud their efforts, and at the same time there is a long way to go for this company from my perspective to get the taste to where I personally would enjoy it. (Lyle’s Dry London” is my taste preference) I currently also have a “snow dome” effect in one of the Banks and Burbridge bottles delivered directly from them, and am about to contact them regarding this. Keep going ... you will get there I am sure and would love to support you when you do!
This was not a great tasting Gin substitute. Had a very scented oil taste. Had to throw it out and was disappointingly a waste of money. :(
Really had minimal taste. Not a replacement for alcohol. Stick to soda water and lime
